New IA sectors launched

In September 2021, The Investment Association (IA) announced the launch of six new sectors.  The new sectors are:

New country – regional equity sectors:

  • Latin America
  • India/Indian Subcontinent

Industry sectors:

  • Financials and Financial Innovation
  • Healthcare

Alternative investment approaches:

  • Infrastructure
  • Commodity/Natural Resources

Funds that feature in these new IA sectors were drawn predominately (but not only) from the IA Global and Specialist sectors.

How the IA  sector changes affect featured funds

The following funds are featured within The Adviser Centre and are impacted by sector changes:

Furthermore:

  • Technology and Telecommunications is now called Technology and Technology Innovations and it has an updated definition. Polar Capital Global Technology resides in this sector.

 

These changes, as well as several minor changes to other IA sector definitions, will be reflected in our materials over the coming weeks as we update the website to reflect Q3 2021 data.
