On 13 August 2025, Ninety One announced that Steve Woolley, Head of Research for the Value team, will be leaving the firm in the coming months. This fund features on our Recommended list.
The fund is managed by Alessandro Dicorrado, Head of Value at Ninety One. He is supported by assistant portfolio manager, Lorenzo Dicorrado. They work closely with a small team of equity analysts and have access to Ninety One’s broader investment and research capabilities.
There are no changes to the fund’s well-established investment philosophy and approach. This is a contrarian UK equity fund that is managed according to a value strategy. Philosophically, the team looks to understand why conventional wisdom may be wrong, in doing so seeking to invest in companies that are priced at a significant discount to their true worth. Within its sector, the fund features in our ‘Value-Biased’ category.
The fund remains on our Recommended list and, according to our usual process, we will discuss this change with the team during our upcoming reviews. In the meantime, the fund continues to feature within our service.
